Fountain City Flood Efforts
“Flood Control”
Client: Personal Project
Location: Fountain City, WI
This spring I went up to Fountain City, WI to participate in filling sandbags with a BUNCH of other people! Some friends might not know, but I lived in Fountain City for about 6 months just after college about 10 years ago, so I was glad to be back to help. I'm glad I had my camera with me this afternoon, as I captured some footage of many community members working together to prepare for the upcoming flood this week. There were also a number of groups that came over from Winona like the Winona State Athletics Football Team. Thank you to Fountain City Business and Community and Buffalo County, Wisconsin for coordinating this effort! Thank you to the Monarch Public House for providing food and water for the volunteers working today! I merely came out to help today, so I'm sure there's a ton more organizations who helped make this possible! It's stories like this that I like to tell for my business Porch Front Studios.
lend a helping hand…
The Mississippi River floods just about every year, and this little town along the western bank of Wisconsin bands together to keep their town safe.
